RaaRaa-15 - The Last Tamasa

Queen Haatinami died after couple of years while giving birth to a sweet baby girl. Brushaka named her as Tarunima. At the age of 16, she learnt all warfare technologies, including the bull riding and elephant riding, from her father. She also learnt tantric aspects from him. Also she was a very good dancer and singer. And she was one of the most beautiful princesses of the entire landmass.
When she turns 20, Brushaka called her and told her to take control of the state, Masaka. She was little worried and asked her about such decision. He replied that nothing to be worried as he wanted to spend his rest of life in the city of Maput, in the temple of Lord Raaga. He also assured her that he will be available in all extreme situations, whenever and wherever required. Tarunima agreed. And in the very next day, in the assembly of capital city of Masakanagari, Brushaka declared his decision. All ministers were surprised. On the same day, Brushaka went to Maput and started living as an ordinary citizen. He devoted his all time worshipping Lord Raaga.

Tarunima took control of the state. Within the short period of time, she proved herself to be very good administrator. Six months passed. One day her chief minister, Bishupakhya, came to her and told about the past history of the state. She was very much surprised to know about the heroic activities of Pakitra, Jatamanu and NisiaDei. She was impressed with NisiaDei. She also started visiting to the garden temple and to the temple of NisiaDei. She wanted to learn the special tantric rituals which were done by Jatamanu and NisiaDei but not able to learn those as no guidance were available at that time. She felt disheartened. She discussed these with Bishupakhya and came to know that now, in Masaka, no one is there who can taught her those things except her own father.

She went to Maput. Offered her devotion in the temple of Lord Raaga. And then to her father and told him about those techniques. Within two days, she learnt all those and returned back to Masakanagari.

When she turned 24, Bishupakhya told her to get married. She hesitated but later agreed and insisted to choose that person herself. Bishupakhya declared this and a date was chosen. All the kings were intimated about this. Day arrived.  In the assembly hall of the palace, all the Kings and Princes of neighboring states were present. Also some common citizens were there who wanted to marry the noble princess. King Sudrava of Bayawi, king Induvrat of Uaawi were the prominent ones. Total 24 kings were present along with 5 common citizens.
Tarunima rejected all the kings and surprisingly king Sudrava and Induvrat were also rejected by her. In last, she also rejected the common citizens except one, Tamasa. She married with Tamasa and this made Bishupakhya worried as he wanted King Sudrava as her husband. But there was something else written in the destiny. Interestingly, Sudrava remained silent and Induvrat got furious. He felt insulted. But at that moment, he controlled his emotions and decided that one day he would get her along with Masaka.

After few days of her marriage, Brushaka passed away. Tarunima broke down but Tamasa handled that situation. After few days, she came to know that Tamasa is not a common man. He was an expert of astronomy, architecture, mathematics, lingiustics, philosophy and tantra also. He belonged to the Migapo tribe. All these things made Tarunima proud of her husband. Bishupakhya was also surprised when he came to know about these aspects of Tamasa.

Time passes. Tarunima ordered to build several temples that belonged to lord Raaga in Masakanagari and one fine day she told Tamasa to make a temple of mother goddess. Tamasa was surprised. He started his work at the very next moment. And within couple of years, the temple was there. Tarunima started practicing tantra in that temple and Tamasa also helped her in those tantric rituals. Everything was running smoothly. There was not a single incident of crime in the entire Masaka. Tamasa was helping Tarunima and Bishupakhya in all aspects of administration. He was a key player now.

One day, Bishupakhya arrived in the palace and told Tarunima that Induvrat are going to join hands with Sudrava and they both were making plan to attack Masaka. Tarunima got worried as she knew in the past there were several fights between Masaka and Bayawi, in which Masaka emerged as a winner. But this time, enemy is very much stronger. She ordered an emergency meeting of council of ministers along with the leaders of different tribes. She conveyed the findings of Bishupakhya in the meeting. All the tribal leaders assured full help to her. But Bishupakhya was not able to gain the strength and confidence. Tarunima declared an emergency situation in the entire state and started worshipping Lord Raaga along with the Mother Goddess. Within 15 days the combined army of Bayawi and Uaawi were standing at the borders of Masaka. Masakans were also ready for this fight.

The opposition was very strong. They had horses, foot soldiers and various latest weapons with them. And the Masakans were having traditional weapons along with the elephants, bulls.
And the war started. On the very first day, Masakans were able to manage the war. In the evening a special meeting was organized in the camps of Masakans. Tamasa lead the meeting. He told everyone that we have to save our land from these foreigners. All nodded.
The next day was very much crucial. Birupakhya made a plan and they fought the war according to his plan. But suddenly the numbers of troops of the combined army increased and plan failed. Tamasa was shocked. Also Birupakhya was killed; it was not a good sign. Somehow Tamasa managed the day. But signs of worry were clear on his face.
The third day started. Tamasa lead the front. An extensive plan was made to cover all the opposition's army in a circular format. Plan was fully not success but partially the day was very good for Masakans. They gave a huge blow to combined army as the king of Bayawi, Sudrava, got killed. Immediately Induvrat declared himself the combined ruler of Bayawi and Uaawi. Now Uaawi, turns to be most powerful state of the entire landmass and Induvrat, the most powerful king. Bayawi is now a part of Uaawi.
Fourth day arrived. Induvrat is more powerful now. Tamasa lead the front. Suddenly there was a change in tactics used by Masakans. Tarunima is leading the front with an army of bulls. When Induvrat looked at Tamasa, he was shocked. Tamasa was flying in the sky with all his weapons. He was killing the soldiers from the sky and here, in the ground, Tarunima was leading the front. Induvrat got mad. Tamasa was now more and more furious. He started doing some tantra practices in the sky and rain started. At the another moment, suddenly rain stopped and there is a sudden rise in temperature. Induvrat got mad after watching all these things but somehow, managed the day. He called all his main warriors in the camp. He asked his chief minister that how could a common man fly in the sky and with his weapons. His minister told him that he was mistaken. Tamasa must not be a common man. Induvrat made a concrete plan for next day, so that he can bring more weapons and soldiers.
In the Masakans' camp, Tarunima was also having a secret meeting with Tamasa. She asked him that how could he managed to do such acts. Tamasa replied that actually his name was not Tamasa and he was also not an ordinary man. He was the last student from the school of Tantrism that was established by the great Jatamanu, he was the tantrik. His real name was something else and he used to write, Tamasa. On being asked about his real name, he replied that  his name is not important at this stage and had to win the war at any cost now.
Fifth day arrived. No major loss for Uaawi army and no major gains for Masakans. With strategy, Induvrat managed that day. In the night, he was happy to see more soldiers and weapons. And a special person known as Kutapati. He was now sure of winning the war.
The sixth day. This was the day which changed the life of Masakans. When Tamasa and Tarunima, both were leading the front simultaneously, suddenly Kutapati arrived in front of Tamasa. And in the next moment, Tamasa was killed. Tarunima and Masakans were shocked. Again, Kutapati now came to have a war with Tarunima and she also met with the similar fate as of Tamasa. Masakans were defeated and now they were a feudal state of Uaawi. All were surprised that what happened to Tamasa and Tarunima.
Later on, there was a rumour, that Kutapati used weapons of hypnotism on them. But that was just a rumour, as nobody knows the actual reason. In the Uaawi state, some few days after the war, dead body of Kutapati was found. Real causes of death remained unknown. Induvrat handed Uaawi state along with Baayawi state, to his younger brother, Biyuvrat. He came to Masaka and started torturing Masakans. He abolished all the tantrik practices in all the temples. He started wprshipping Lord Raaga in his own way and method. He introduced lots of new rituals in the temple of Lord Raaga. And most importantly, he established a mother Goddess in the temple and started worshipping her along with Lord Raaga. He also told tribals and their leaders to join the mainstream society. Suddenly there was a change in socio-religious movement of Masaka. And the true Masakans, were still waiting for the last Tantrik of Masaka, the Tamasa....

RaaRaa-14 - Mrugaakhi

Thousands of years back...

Masaka kingdom had three neighbouring kingdoms named as Basaka, Kasaka and Avaka.

Basaka was ruled by the King Basakama. He had a sister named "Mrugaa".

Masaka kingdom was rich with hills, sea, rivers and all sorts of natural beauty. One day Mrugaa planned to spend sometime in the land of Masaka. She told this to Basakama and Basakama arranged the travel with her friends. She had a nice time with her friends in Masaka.

During the stay in Masaka, she met Hrudayu. Hrudayu was poor and was an orphan too. Mrugaa being from a rich and king's family, conveyed about her love to Hrudayu. Hrudayu was also in love with Mrugaa but he was in a dilemma as Mrugaa was very rich. But while returning back to Basaka, Mrugaa promised to marry Hrudayu.

                                            *** **** *****
A parallel story was running in the Kingdom of Kasaka. And the story is about a girl named "Aakhi".

She was married a man named Kathan and lead a happy life with her husband and a son. They were farmers. She and her husband used to cultivate vegetables and fruits. When the veg and fruits were ready, her husband used to go to the nearby city to sell.

                                            *** **** *****
Coming back to the story of Mrugaa...

She reached her home country Basaka and told her brother Basakama about her love towards Hrudayu. Basakama also agreed to his sister and sent his messenger and soldiers to invite and bring Hrudayu from Masaka to Basaka.
Mrugaa and Hrudayu's marriage happened with grand fervour in the presence of Basakama.
After marriage, Hrudayu worked under Basakama and started staying in the kingdom of Basaka.

Time passed...

One day... While returning to home in the midnight, Hrudayu heard some people talking. He silently went there and what he saw was a big surprise for him. Basakama's younger brother Basakana was planning to smuggle arms to the kingdom Bayavi.
Basakana realised that someone hearing to them. Hrudayu started running from the spot but soldiers of Basakana chased and fire arrows. Hrudayu was hurt and shouting. Hearing the loud voice of Hrudayu, King Basakama reached there and hold Hrudayu in his hands. Suddenly Mrugaa also reached there and found her husband Hrudayu in his last stage and her brother Basakama.
Hrudayu died. Basakama could not convince Mrugaa that he did not kill Hrudayu but it was someone else.

With the anger on her brother, Mrugaa left Basaka kingdom and came to Masaka kingdom and started living in the village which was her husband Hrudayu's native place.

                                          *** **** *****
Coming back to the parallel story of Aakhi and Kasaka kingdom...

One day, Aakhi's husband Kathan packed all the vegetables and fruits and started his journey to the nearby city where he used to sell those. Normally it used to take one week for him to sell all the vegetables and return back home. But that time, he did not return home for more than two weeks.

Aakhi was very much worried about Kathan. Finally she thought to go to the city and find her husband. She went to the city with her son and started searching for her husband. But she could not find him for many days.

One day, she came to know that her husband was killed by the soldiers on a false case on the order of King!
She was very much depressed after hearing this. But she believed in her husband and had the feeling that her husband could not make such mistake to get death punishment. She approached the court, found her husband to be innocent but as it was king's order, she could not do anything.

She returned back to her village with the broken heart.
                                        *** **** *****
Coming back to the story of Mrugaa who was staying in Hrudayu's village in Masaka kingdom after the death of Hrudayu...

In the previous stories, we know about king Avakara of Avaka kingdom who was staying in Masaka kingdom for some years.

Not sure how, but she somehow convinced Avakara to fight against her brother Basakama.

And as we know in the previous stories, Avakara won and Basakama died.

                                           *** **** *****
Coming back to the story of Aakhi who was staying in her village with her son after her husband's death...

She planned to take revenge on the King who ordered death punishment for her husband on a false case. She found the loopholes in the kingdom, gathered some people on her side and trained them against the tyranny of king. After few years, she was able to make a small army.

One day, she went with her people to the city to sell vegetables as her husband used to do. But it was the plan to attack the city and the king.
In the night, getting the chance, she and her people tried to attack the king's palace. She did a major destruction to palace and kill many of the soldiers and even the army chief.
But she was not able to stand for long in front of the mighty security personnels and she lost her last breath while fighting.

                                            *** **** *****
Final part...

After hundreds of years, these history was written in both Masaka and Kasaka kingdom. Whereas the Basaka history books did not mention anything about it.
And one surprise is that the stories of Masaka and Basaka mentioned a single name, i.e. "Mrugaakhi" which was a combination of "Mrugaa" and "Aakhi" which literally means "the eyes which look like that of Mruga/Deer"!!!

Again after hundreds of years, while reading those stories, people think
1) Was there two girls with the same name Mrugaakhi in Basaka and Kasaka and similar revenge stories happened with both?
2) Were there two names Mrugaa and Aakhi and later combined to one name?
3) How come there is no mention of Mrugaakhi in the stories of Basaka?

The Migrated

There is a place in the eastern coastal of India. The state had some prosperous history. But with time, the prosperity was lost and as if many things went wrong. Due to Govt inaction, there was unemployment and people started seeking jobs in other states. But it does not mean that other state people don't work in that state. Others also work there in mining, mineral sector and many as vendors and in shops. but when it comes to 'getting bad name for migration', those people from THAT less-populated state get it. It is as if others never migrate. But once taken the count, picture will be different though.

Many from THAT state think "We had nothing. Our condition as bad as like this previously.". It is somewhat like self-cursing.
Did British rule make the people like that?
Or Did the longterm outward migration after 1947 change the mind of the people towards own native state?
Or The people had that tendency and properly utilized by some outsiders?

There was a Jain King called Kharabela. He belonged to Chedi dynasty. As he was Jain and Chedi dynasty is known to be from Northern India, some historians wrote the King's family to be from North and so he is.
Ganga dynasty was spread into two places. Karnataka side was called Western Ganga dynasty and and the part towards the eastern state was called Eastern Ganga dynasty. But the area where the Eastern Ganga started borders a state with different language, i..e Telugu. So, some historians tried to project the Eastern Ganga dynasty as Telugu.

There was a great person who was born in THAT state and is well known in India his Dasabatara/Dasavatar/Dasavataram stutee is well known but his birthplace was changed in history to be from Bengal. Then some people of THAT state tried their best, gathered proofs and finally intellectuals agreed that Sri Jayadeba was (who wrote Gita Gobinda) was from THAT state.

Long time back, an intellectual from some other place state wrote "Untouchables live in THAT state and if you visit there, you will be untouchable." See the contradiction. There is a very big temple in THAT state but the people who come from other places to visit would get untouchable.

While analysing all these things, a fellow named Chagala thought
1)Why dont the majority of THAT state reply back with the same question when the question of migration is raised?
2)Why dont THAT state people argue when some fellows propagate false nativity about their Kings?
3) Why dont THAT state people tell anything when the propaganda about untouchability of THAT state is still prevalent in some other places?

After thinking all these things, Chagala was just relaxing. I thought of visiting him and went to his place. We had a chat. Chagala was happy to talk to me in our Matrubhasa/Mothertongue. Other than our mothertongue, there are 20+ languages surviving in my state.

Chagala told "Do you know about our special pronunciation of 'a/o' as in the last 'a' of the word 'Jagannatha'? It matches with Spanish, Japanese, eg. Just like "o" in the word 'Doctor'. Do you know the word for 'mother' is 'Bou' and in Indonesia it is 'Bu'?".
I just told him "People tell that everything is Sanskrit. Rest of the things originated from it and so is the match". It irritated Chagala and he replied "THERE ARE SIX LANGUAGES IN INDIA WHICH HAVE GOT CLASSICAL STATUS. Indian Govt gave classical status to Tamil in 2004, Sanskrit in 2005, Kannada and Telugu in 2008, Malayalam in 2013, and Odia in 2014. The languages which prove themselves not to be derived from any other language and fulfill some other criteria get classical status. When five languages other than Sanskrit have got classical status, how come you tell that everything originated from Sanskrit? How Indian Govt gave classical status to the derived ones?"

I just said sorry to him as I did not know all these things. But while leaving  his place, he told me "I am temporarily migrated and you too but but your soul is permanently migrated like some others to the state of Trishanku". The last word 'Trishanku' was resounding in my mind as 'Trishanku Trishanku Trishanku ...nku ...nku ...nku'. Suddenly I realised that it was not the resound but my mobile alarm was ringing. 😊

RaaRaa-13 - The Assassin

Some thousands of years back...

In the kingdom of  Masaka...

The king was Bhadrasika and he had a younger brother named Bhadrasima. The brothers were just like friends. Though the age difference was 8 to 9 years but they always maintained like best friends. Whether school or having food, they always wanted to be together till the dooms day...

There was a distant Kingdom called as Kavaka. The King of that kingdom was Kavaya. He was very brainy and with high physical power. Masaka kingdom and Kavaka kingdom were very much prosperous. Both the kingdoms had good relations. But Kavaya had always his eyes on Masaka kingdom as Masaka was very rich and prosperous as compared to Kavaka kingdom.

Times passes...

There was another kingdom called Agavi which was neighbouring to Kavaka. Some controversy erupted between Agavi and Kavaka for border issues. It lead to war. Small scale war continued for many years. Both side had heavy loss due to continuous wars.

One day the chief adviser to King Kavaya came to him and told him to initiate a large scale warfare against Agavi kingom. The King Kavaya asked, how? The advisor told him to drag Masaka kingdom to war and defeat both Agavi and Masaka kingdom. They planed and kill the messenger of Masaka kingdom.

Masaka King Bhadrasika gets disheartened with this and very much angry as well. He planned to support Agavi kingdom against Kavaka kingdom. Younger brother Bhadrasima advised him not to jump into the war zone. He instead called the extremely skilled warriors and discussed with them. They suggested that they would catch the culprit and punish him. But Bhadrasika was so angry that he wanted a war.

War started between Kavaka kingdom alliance of Agavi and Masaka. Many soldiers lost their lives. As Kavaka army and King Kavaya were extremely powerful, they move towards victory day by day. One day, the King of Agavi got killed and after few days Masaka King Bhadrasika also lost his life in the war. There the war ended and Agavi and Masaka came under the rule of Kingdom of Kavaka under King Kavaya.

The death of brother Bhadrasika made the life of Bhadrasima miserable. One day, while roaming in the kingdom, he went to a village where the farmers used to stay and those farmers were also part time soldiers. Bhadrasima started living in that village, lived the life of a normal citizen as the Kingdom was ruled by King Kavaka. He started learning metal technology for livelihood as he was interested in that but he always remembered his brother. The villagers were sad to see grieving face of Bhadrasima.

A villager named Bajruka one day thought to take revenge on Kavaya. He planned with his fellow villagers. All of them were good at fighting skills as they worked as part time soldiers. Bajruka came to Bhadrasima and told him to create a big size metallic statue of ex-king Bhadrasika with separate body and head portion, the body need to have hollow inside and the head can be screwed and fixed with the body just like and bottle and its cover. Bhadrasima started working on that and completed it within a short span of time. They also built a temple in the memory of Bhadrasika.

On the day installation of Bhadrasika's statue, Bajruka went somewhere and no one was able to find him. Coincidentally, one more news came from the city that King Kavaya was also missing. Kavaya's soldiers searched for many months but they could not find him.

Did Bajruka acted as the Assassin and killed Kavaya to take revenge on the death of King Bhadrasika?
After thousands of years, people think of many things
1) Where did Brajuka and Kavaya vanish?
2) How people could not find their bodies if they were dead?
3) Did Brajuka killed Kavaya and put his body inside the metallic statue of King Bhadrasika and fixed the head of the statue and permanently fixed the head and body by using temperature so that no one could open it again?
Or
4) Was Bajruka none other than Bhadrasima, the assassin?

RaaRaa-12 - The Used

Some thousands of years back...

Near the Kingdom of Masaka, there were two Kingdoms called as "Avaka" and "Basaka"...

The King of Avaka had two sons "Ajaka" and "Ajuka". The younger son Ajuka had the dream of being the King after his father but the elder son Ajaka was very good in administrative and war skills and by the way he was elder and so became the King. The younger son was unhappy with this.

After few years, both the brothers got married to the princesses of the neighbouring Kingdoms.
The elder brother had a son "Avakara" and the younger one had a son "Avakava". Avakara became the king. Ajuka was again unhappy as he could not become the king and his son also.

Ajuka waited for the right time...

One day...
The informer came and told to King Avakara that a poor had taken the "ambamruta" fruit.
The fruit ambamruta was only for the Kings and the rich in the Kingdom, not for the poor.
The courtmen immediately advised the King Avakara to give death punishment to the poor. King Avakara also agreed to it as he used to believe his courtmen blindly. And the poor man got death punishment...

Getting this opportunity, Ajuka immediately went to Ajaka and told abut the injustice happened to the poor. Though his son was the king, still Ajaka had the power and he called for a meeting. The courtmen who gave the suggestion for the death punishment stuck to their point but majority in the court were against it. And it was decided that King Avakara would leave the Kingdom and work as a normal citizen in the neighbouring Kingdom for 10 years. In his place, the younger brother Avakava would be the king. Avakava's father Ajuka was very happy with this decision.
This is the 1st instance how the King Avakara got used (by the courtmen)...

When Avakara was about to leave his Kingdom, his wife Mitarayi started with him. But Avakara denied and told that it was his fault and his wife should not suffer for this. After insisting so many times, still Avakara did not take his wife with him. After Avakara left, Mitarayi thought for few days and did something that was really astonishing. She used to go the village and sweep the area in front of the poor man's house who got death punishment. The man's family requested the queen not to do so but queen used to continue like that.

The King Avakara went to a village in the neighbouring Kingdom Masaka and started working there as a normal citizen. He did not tell his identity to anyone. One day some dacoits who were from the neighbouring villge attacked the village where Avakara was staying. Avakara single-handedly fought against them and saved the village. From that incident, the villagers had the doubt about him and upon asking he revealed his identity. He slowly became famous in the Kingdom of Masaka.

In that village, some people became his followers. Among the followers, there are always the oiling groups. They always tell the sweet things about the powerful/king/jamidars. There was enmity between that village and the neighbouring village. Avakara's fans always used to tell him against the neighbouring village citing the examples of the dacoit attack. Avakara got so much influenced that he started thinking the whole neighbouring village as criminal. One day, a fight happens between the two villages. Avakara fights for the village he was staying and the neighbouring village got defeated very badly. So, what was the conclusion? Avakara's fans started ruling the neighbouring village!
This is the 2nd instance how the King Avakara got used (by the villagers)...

Now, the story of the Kingdom Basaka comes into picture.
There the King was Basakama. He had a younger brother named Basakana.
He ruled his Kingdom very well. That time was called the diamond period of that Kingdom. He made his Kingdom so prosperous that most neighbouring Kingdoms were envy. He was a very good defender. He never used to attack any other Kingdom but if anyone attacked his Kingdom, he used fight to the extreme, capture the enemey King and kill him in such a manner that any enemy would shiver looking at that.
But why Avaka Kingdom and Masaka Kingdom were not envy? Any reason? The reason being the guru named "Abamasaka" who used to give his teachings in the Kingdom of Masaka. The students from all neighbouring Kingdoms used to come to him to get trained. Avakara of Avaka Kingdom and Basakama of Basaka Kingdom also got trained from him.

But...
After the death of Basakama's 1st wife, he got married for the 2nd time. But his younger brother Basakana was interested in that girl. He never told that but nurtured enmity against his own brother.
After knowing about Avakara who was staying in a village in Masaka, he went there and told that he would be working as his servant as his elder brother Basakama was not a good person and got married to his beloved by force. Avakara didn't believe it fully but took him as a servant. Gradually Basakana did the brainwash of Avakara. As usual, Avakara also started believing in Basakana.

There was a war between a King Mrutesh with Basakama. That time, Basakana requests Avakara to support Mrutesh and fight against his brother Basakama. Avakara agrees to it.
War starts...
Basakama wins most of days of war against Mrutesh and so Avakara.
Now Avakara fights with Basakama. After few hours of fight, Basakama intentionally got himself hurt. Avakara also understood it. In the last stage of Basakama, Avakara came near him. Basaka asked whether he could recognize him. Avakara sain NO. Then Basakama told "Do you remember our Guru Abamasaka? He told me about you." Then Avakara realized that he killed a good friend Basakama and his younger brother Basakana cheated him.
This is the 3rd instance how the King Avakara got used (by Basakana)...

Avakara was in a deep depression after all these incidents in his life.
Finally he returned to his Kingdom Avaka after 10 years. He found his Kingdom to be very prosperous under the leadership of his younger brother Avakava. But one thing surprised him that Avakara didn't get married looking at the problems in his family and fight between brothers and their sons. Avakara somehow convinced Avakava to get married and then he declared him as the King of Avaka, not a power of attorney.

After few days, while roaming in the garden, Avakara heard from his servants "King(Avakara)'s wife was sweeping in front of the poorman's house for last 10 years. She is also a person from lower strata of society now. Will the King stay with her now?". He heard similar things so many times...
This is the 4th instance how the King Avakara got used (by the countrymen)...No No No...

This time, Avakara thought in a different way. He went with his wife Mitarayi to the same place where his wife was sweeping for 10 long years. He build a house there, worked as a teacher, worked as a farmer, worked towards making his own home, surroundings and village clean.

Thousands of years passed now.
Abamasaka, Avakara, Basakama are all worshipped as Gods by the people.
All is well.
he he he he he he he... :) :) :)
People are USING those God's names to earn money because it is all money money money.

RaaRaa-11 - RathaHaDasa

Thousands of years back...

In the Kingdom of Masaka...

There was a King named "Brushaka". He was a very good Brushabha/Bull rider and so his name was Brushaka. Along with taking care of the whole kingdom, he has the personal interest to take care of the cattle. The kingdom was very famous for milk and rice production. As the paddy husk and straws are good for cattle, so there was no problem for feeding the cattle.

The king used to take some extra care of the Bulls. Why so?
It is because Bulls were used in war zone as those were the fastest running animals of that time in the kingdom of Masaka.

In Masaka, there was a village called as "Haatika". "Haati" means Elephant. There were numerous elephants in that village. Many villagers knew how to train the elephants. They used have elephant race as an annual festival funded by the seafaring businessmen when returned from south-east world after long years of business.

But the King Brushaka did not like the elephant as they used eat the paddy and there was shortage in the food for the cattle, specifically the Bulls.

Time passes...

One day, the war bell rang.
The neighbouring kingdom attacked. The king got ready with his weapon, his army and the Bulls.
The was a fierce fight the Brushaka and so the Kingdom won the battle.

The next day, the people of the village Haatika riding elephant come nearing the entry gate of the Masaka Gada/Garh/Fort and welcome the King by spraying water by the elephants. There the village people requested Brushaka to attend the annual elephant race which was supposed to happen in the next week. The King agrees to it.

Now the annual festival scene. The King reached the festival spot. The elephant race started and one one rider and her elephant became the winner. As part of the award ceremony, the King gifted a golden shield to her. While having a chat, the girl asked "Raja, How was the speed of the elephants?". The king sarcastically laughed and told "Lesser than my Bulls". The girl was somewhat disheartened and replied "Ok, You will one day need these elephants. Please wait for the time."

Time passed and the war bell rang again. This time, the war was with the King "Krurashya" of neighbouring Kingdom "Bayavi".
The king got ready with his weapon, his army and the Bulls. But there was a change in the enemy army. They used a new animal called horse which were very fast runners whereas the the bulls were not that much fast. The war started and the enemy stated winning the first day of battle. There was major loss to Masaka army. King Brushaka somehow managed the war.

The entry of the new fastest animal horse really made Brushaka shocked. During night time, when there was no war, the King suddenly thought of the village girl who told "Ok, You will one day need these elephants. Please wait for the time.". The King immediately ordered his messenger to call the girl. The girl reached the spot. The king greeted her and asked her name and the girl replied "Haatinaami". Then the girl asked why the King called her. Brushaka told the story of the new fastest animal called horse. Haatinaami took some time and told something to Brushaka was very much happy with that.

Next day in the war zone...
There were around twenty bull riders in the front including the King Brushaka.
Behind them, all the army were standing.
Behind them, 11 soldiers were holding big size flags. Imagine an inverted
rectangular-U-shaped frame and a big cloth/flag hanging from it, just like a window curtain of the size of a one-storey building...
There were some people playing some music instruments which created sounds like the different roaring sound "snorts, barks, grunts, trumpets, cries" etc.

Now both sides signal to start the battle.
King Brushaka and his fellow bull-riders rode at a faster pace. The foot soldiers slowly ran behind them as per the plan.
From the opposite side, King Krurashya and his fellowmen rode the horses at a much faster rate.

Before the bull-riders and horse-riders face each other, the bull-riders including the King Brushaka suddenly got divided, half of them started running to left and half towards the right. The foot-soldiers also did the same. Enemy king Krurashya was surprised with this.

Then suddenly, the 11 soldier from Brushaka, remove the flags, and the picture became clear. There were 10 elephants standing behind the big flags and the some people were playing music instrument with the same sounds of elephants so that the enemy gets confused and could not guess about the presence of elephants.

Now the elephants started running at a faster pace with the chief elephant rider "Haatinaami".
The road was clear. The elephants started crushing the enemy soldiers. To each elephant, there was a chariot attached. A soldier was on the chariot holding spears. Whoever were able to cross/pass through the elephants, they were getting killed by them. Many of the enemy soldiers were killed like that.

Then King Brushaka and Haatinaami fought did a fierce fight against King Krurashya and his army, Krurashya got killed and Masaka kingdom won the battle.

After the war, King Brushaka apologized to Haatinaami for his ignorance about the elephants. Then both got married and Haatinaami became the queen and ruled the Masaka kingdom along with King Brushaka.

Then the King ordered the construction of a big scale statue of 10 elephants and 10 chariots attached to it and named it as "RathaHaDasa" meaning "Ratha(Chariot) Haati(Elephant) Dasa(Ten)".

Thousands of years passed. The remnants are still there. When the people see it now and tell about the name "RathaHaDasa", we find different narratives like
1) Ratha(Chariot) Haati(Elephant) Daasa(Servant) - King took care of elephants and chariots as a Daasa
2) Ratha(Chariot) Ha(Bisarga-Pronunciation) Dasa(Ten)
3) Some say, it might be Dasa(Ten) Ratha(Chariot)

Many narratives are there but the exact meaning could not be found yet. Time keeps many things hidden for ever and ever...

RaaRaa-10 - Bhalapata

After the psychological and language war, the people of Masaka developed a different syndrome. They all became lazy and stopped laborious work. The amount of time they spend in their fields and other sector were reduced. This made them a little weak in economical perspectives. The king, Sthiraka was too old to motivate the new generation and so he was also worried. He decided to call the businessmen and other elites in the assembly. He told them to elect a new king as he was too old to lead the state. They all decided to have a competition and the person who will emerge victorious will be the new king. They declared about the competition, which was a three day long, through the present king.
On the day of competition total fifty aspirants appear and after the three day long battle one person emerge victorious. His name was Gajapa...

Gajapa was a son of cobbler but he was least interested in all those kind of shoe mending work. So, he started travelling all over the Masaka. He learned various tribal languages and then became an exponent in Masaki language. He also learnt the various warfare techniques. He also learnt various tantric rituals and customs which he could use during any emergency. And above all, he was a worshiper of Lord Raaga...

After becoming King, he ordered to make a palace for Sthiraka near to the temple of Raaga. His first decision. Then he ordered to the army to make themselves prepare for any kind of war. This was a surprise to many. The commander-in-chief came to the king and told him about the treaty the erstwhile king made with Bayavi. Gajapa politely refused to see that treaty and told him that an order is an order. He also ordered to make female troops of warriors and opened doors to female in the army.
His decisions were widely accepted and across the state and soon he rose to a new level of height. One day, he saw a beautiful girl. He got in love with her on the first sight. “She is having sparkling eyes; every outfit would love to embrace her body. She was a beautiful mystery. Her life wasn't a fairy tale, but she sure was a princess” he thought in his dreams about her.
After enquiring, he came to know that she was a daughter of his minister and her name was Kanaka. He called the minister and expresses his desire to marry her. Without any second thought minister nodded and they got married. The celebration was grand. Sthiraka himself came to bless the couple and lots of events took on the day.

After couple of years, Kanaka gave birth to triplets. Gajapa named them as Hangupa, Mukhapa and Kapipa. There was a joy in the whole Masaka after this news was spread. Meanwhile, Gajapa started worshipping Raaga as per tantric rituals and customs, in his palace. The chariot making system of Lord Raaga, which was started by NisiaDei was still a custom. Every year this custom was going on inspite of all kinds of problem. Gajapa like his predecessor continued the custom. He went to Garden Temple as a part of custom and worshipped Raaga. One night he had a strange dream. He woke up in the middle of night and started his journey to the temple of Lord Raaga, in the port city of Manuka. He arrived in the early morning and after seeing the king, gatekeeper opened the door of temple. Gajapa went their alone and spent near about four hours inside the temple. He reappears and again came back to his palace in Masakanagari, without telling to anyone. He started some secret tantric rituals in his own palace and named it BHALAPATA…..
BHALAPATA was a new kind of tantric techniques through which you can communicate with Lord Raaga easily and it was something out of the box.

After some years, in an accident Gajapa and Kanaka died and Hangupa was made the king at the age of 16. Hangupa soon declared that Mukhapa is the new in charge of education system and Kapipa as in charge of medical emergencies. Both brothers agreed. One day suddenly Hangupa got some literature works of his father Gajapa. On the book, BHALAPATA was written with blood. He read the whole book and also gave that to his brothers. It was written in Masaki language. At the age of 18, they all become aware about the tantric pattern invented by their father Gajapa. They started implementing all those things in form of drawings and songs. But as they were afraid that if someone knew this then he or she might use all these in negative sense. So to protect these, they wrote some mysterious things, in same Masaki language but in different manner so that the common citizens or intellects also won’t understand this. But Hangupa told everybody that our mother nature is the epicenter of all the systems and we have to worship her also in the same manner in which we all are worshipping Lord Raaga. So as per some mathematical and astronomical calculations, he ordered to build several temples of Mother Nature near temples of Raaga. In Masakanagari, hundreds of temples were there that belong to Raaga and now they built the same numbers of Mother Nature. All the things were going smoothly. The Masakans, were, once again regain power in each and every sector, from architectural marvels to education, from agriculture to warfare technologies.

In the mean time, a person came to their state. His name was Kukhyaka. On the very first day, he opposed the tantric rituals and patterns in which the priests were worshipping Lord Raaga. He also opposed the tribal manner of worshipping. Mukhapa came to know about him and immediately he called his internal minister and asked him to check the activities of Kukhyaka.

Kukhyaka was very crooked. He learnt Masaki language within fifteen days, mixed with the people and encouraged them to stop the tantric rituals and tribal worshipping of Raaga and provide his pattern of rituals and customs of worshipping. Some people also got convinced and started worshipping as per the materials provided to them by Kukhyaka.
Hangupa got worried after seeing all these things. He ordered to have a secret meeting with his internal minister and his brothers. After that meeting Hangupa invited Kukhyaka in his palace and challenge him about the tantric and tribal concepts and customs. Hangupa and Kukhyaka had a five day verbal fight about the rituals and customs. In the last, Hangupa won that and immediately ordered Kukhyaka to left the Masaka. Till now the people were not able to understand the real things. Kukhyaka left the palace and eventually Masaka. But he left some of his disciples in the state.
Then started a conspiracy theory. The disciples of Kukhyaka, lived in Masakanagari, learnt all kind of warfare technologies. One day, they killed Mukhapa and Kapipa. Hangupa got furious after hearing this news. This suddenly put a question mark on the governance of Hangupa. Citizens were also worried about their safety and security.
One day one messanger came to the court of Hangupa and told him about the planning of Kukhyaka. He also told him that kukhyaka was none other than a secret member of agents that belong to Bayavi. Now Hangupa was angry and he told Kruresh, the king of Bayavi, who was now in his fifties, to handover Kukhyaka to him or face the war. Kruresh agreed to handover Kukhyaka to Hangupa amidst lots of opposition. Kruresh told his assembly that whatever happened had happened, we cannot face the war with the mighty Masakans, who had a well equipped army and trained soldiers and moreover their king Hangupa, who was well versed with all kind of warfare techniques as well as BHALAPATA.

Kukhyaka was made prisoner and in the prison he was died.
In the meanwhile, Hangupa married and her wife gave birth to a girl child. Time went slowly. Peace, once again, prevails in Masaka. All live happily and without any conflict. But two things were there which Hangupa neglected. First, the Masakans started worshiping Mother alongwith Raaga and second slowly and slowly, a thought comes to their mind about their belief in tantric worshiping of Raaga, whether it was good or bad, as Kukhyaka was able to gain the sympathy of the Masakans…..

RaaRaa-9 - Langback

Hi Friends,

When you read the subject of the blog as "Langback" you may feel that there is some spelling mistake. Should it be "Long back"? If you want to know why the name is like this, please read the complete blog.

Some thousands of years back...

Somewhere in the coastal plains...

The kingdom of "Masaka"...

There was a king named "Sthiraka". The king ruled his kingdom very well. He made the proper irrigation system so that the farmers would get benefited, proper schools so that the people would get educated, proper hospitals, proper roads etc.

But the highlight was the strongest army and well developed literature. Sthiraka was a fierce fighter and he invented some self-defense techniques as well. He used to arrange some training for the soldiers in frequent intervals so that the soldiers get updated. He always made it a point that he and his soldiers would never attack any other country but if any country attacks them, they all the enemy need to be killed.

The neighboring country was "Bayavi". The king "Kataresh" ruled over there. He was very much jealous about the Masaka kingdom. Once he attacked Masaka so that the prosperous Masaka would be under his rule. A massive war happened between Kataresh and Sthiraka and Kataresh lost the war. After that loss, Bayavi kingdom never attacked Masaka.

Years passed...

Masaka's king Sthiraka became old. He had a son named "Samaka" but Samaka was not interested to learn war skills or to be a king. He instead became a doctor and starts serving the countrymen.

Kataresh had a son named "Kruresh". Kruresh learned very good war skills and starts attacking and winning multiple territories. One day he planned for attacking Masaka. He sent his messenger to Masaka with a letter which reads "King Sthiraka, Surrender to us or otherwise face the war." Sthrika did not want war. He sent a messenger to Kruresh's father Kataresh and tells to maintain peace. But Kataresh could not convince his son.
Kruresh somehow wanted to ignite the conflict. He sent some soldiers to Masaka, kidnapped Sthiraka's son Samaka and killed him. Sthiraka got completely disheartened with the death of his son...

At this time, Kruresh suddenly attacked Masaka kingdom and many civilians got killed. The people of Masaka ran to the king Sthiraka and begged him to save the country. Sthiraka was very old by by that time but still he stood again for the people. He went to the war zone.
The young king Kruresh from Bayavi kingdom was very happy to see the old king Sthiraka and thought "what this old fellow will do?" The war started. Kruresh got surprised to see the war skills of the old man Sthiraka. Sthiraka mercilessly killed the enemy side. Soldiers died from both sides and Bayavi king Kruresh got defeated and surrendered. Both kingdom signed a treaty not to have war again.

--------------------------------------INTERVAL--------------------------------------

Then started the soft propaganda...

The language spoken in Masaka was "Masaki" and the language spoken in Bayavi was "Bayavi".
Masaki language was well developed with huge literature whereas Bayavi language was not that developed.
Bayavi's king Kruresh sent some intellectuals/literati to Masaka and told them to get in touch with the intellectuals/literati of Masaka and learn Masaki language. They stayed in Masaka for few years, learned Masaki language, interacted well with the intellectuals/literati
of Masaka kingdom, and gathered enough knowledge.

Years passed...

One day, the intellectuals/literati of Bayavi proposed to the intellectuals/literati of Masaka "Our languages Masaki and Bayavi have some similarity. Can we create a new language by taking words from these two languages?". The intellectuals of Masaka wanted to have some time to think. They arranged a meeting of intellectuals of Masaka and discuss whether to create a common language. Majority got agreed to this. But one intellectual named "Jamaka" raised his voice against it. He clearly told that there was something fishy behind this and intellectuals of Bayavi had some serious intentions behind this. But no one listened to him and it was decided to accept the proposal of the intellectuals of Bayavi.

Intellectuals of both the languages Masaki and Bayavi started their work of creating a new language by taking words and grammar from both the languages. Finally a new language was born known as "Masayavi (Masaki+Bayavi)". Books were printed in this language and this language became the link language between the two countries Masaka and Bayavi.

There was a critical point here. Most of the book sellers were from the country Bayavi.
They used to sell the books written in Masayavi language in multiple countries but they always told to the customers that the books are written in Bayavi language. The intellectuals of Masaka were not aware of this and when they came to know, it was too late.

The propaganda was spread that all the books were written in Bayavi language, not the Masayavi language. Slowly another propaganda was initiated that the Masayavi language was derived from the Bayavi language and the Masaki language was derived from Masayavi, like "Bayavi->Masayavi->Masaki" but the actual scenario was "Masaki+Bayavi=Masayavi".
This propaganda continued spreading to the nearby countries and finally to Masaka kingdom. As many said a goat as a dog, so the people also started believing the "Bayavi->Masayavi->Masaki" theory. Whatever, the people of Masaka still spoke and wrote in their mother language "Masaki" though they started believing that their language was derived from another language. But this thought process slowly converted "a king's mindset to a slave's mindset" and Bayavi kingdom/language had a victory over the Masaka kingdom, Masaki language and so the people of Masaka in this psychological warfare.

Now you can understand the meaning of "Langback". It means "Language+Flashback".

"Chhaya and Chagala" - Chagala Part2

The Chagala Part-1 was about "Sharmila and Chagala"
http://ashishkumarnayakodisha.blogspot.com/2018/01/sharmila-and-chagala_21.html
The present story Chagala Part-2 does not have any link with Part-1.
*****************************************************************************

Miles away from the rush of cities...

Chagala spent his childhood days in his village. Village air, water, food and love from parents and relatives made his life enjoyable. Chagala used to love to listen ghost stories. Grandparents or elderly people used to tell many stories to kids, ghost story was one among those. While telling the ghost stories, the elderly people used to mimic some sounds made by animals so that the thrill will be there.
Chagala was too much afraid of ghosts. He was afraid to come out of the house even at 8PM.

Years passed, Chagala completed his degree and got the job in the accounts section of a company in a remote village. Chagala took a house for rent near the office area. The office was around 2km from his rented house. So he preffered to walk to office daily. While returning from office, it used to around midnight 12AM or morning 2AM as he was in the accounts section. The fear of night and ghost was always there in Chagala's mind. But Chagala gradually became habituated to the office timings and the fear factor was not that much.

One night...
While returning from office, Chagala heard some paauji (anklet) sound from behind like chhan chhan chhan...
Chagala started walking faster and didnt dare to look back. The paauji sound also got heard faster as if someone is chasing him. Chagala told "Jai Hanuman" and started running faster, entered his house and thanked God.

Few days passed. One time, the similar sounds of paauji were heard. Chagala thought to have some courage and look back. When he turned his head back, he saw a lady with white saree. There was no open hair and candle in the hands of the lady like movies. But the white saree was enough to make Chagala moreeeeee afraid. He started running in such a faster pace that even Usain bolt may not compete with him. In front of his house, he fell down and became unconscious. The house owner ran to the spot, sprinkled water on his face and Chagala got consciousness.

Next day, Chagala took leave from office as he got some minor injuries. To a surprise, the white saree lady came to his house and told "Don't worry. We are new here, just staying in front of your house and I am not a ghost.😊". Chagala asked "Why are you wearing white saree, even now too?" The girl replied "I am a nurse". And she added that she also gets late while returning from hospital and she is afraid of stray dogs, and so if someone is there, she try to walk along with them. While leaving, she told to Chagala "Please take care. By the way, I am Chhaya".

The last statement "By the way, I am Chhaya" created some maya on Chagala's heart. Chagala's office and Chhaya's hospital were somewhat nearby. If late in night, Chagala and Chhaya started walking together to home. In one festival, Chagala visited Chhaya's home where he met her brother, sister, parents and her joint family.

Chagala and Chhaya's love story continued like this. One night, Chagala was waiting for Chhaya while returning from office but Chhaya didn't come. Next day also...
Chagala went to her home and found that the door is locked. Chagala asked the caretaker about Chhaya and the caretaker told "Who? No one is staying here from last 15 years!" Chagala became unconscious after hearing this. Chagala's house owner came there, made him conscious and he also told the same story that no one stayed there for last 15 years.

The story doesn't end here like other ghost stories.
Chagala's ghost-fear increased so much that it made his life miserable.
After few months, while in the village market to get some vegetables, Chagala saw Chhaya. He ran and tried to talk to her but she avoided and started walking faster. Chagala still ran after her. Suddenly Chagala saw Chhaya's whole family there and her uncle hit him with a stick and fell unconscious. While getting unconscious he heard some gun shots though.

Some locals helped him to go to hospital and then his home. While going through the newspaper next day, he found that some crime happened yesterday in the village market area and it was executed by Chhaya and her family. It was shocking for Chagala and he never knew the reason behind that.

From that day, Chagala's ghost-fear is completely gone as he came to understand that many things are manufactured by the brainy humans.

"Sharmila and Chagala" - Chagala Part1

1st year of Engineering...

As per the wish of the senior students, need to wear uniform, need to hold the bag in hand instead of hanging on shoulders, and have to always look down etc etc. One boy named Chagala (it is a nick name in Odisha which means 'naughty boy') from my village got admission to engineering that year.

Chagala was very much afraid as he used to hear the stories about ragging.During the college time, Chagala never used to go to library during day time because that is where the senior boys used to catch the junior. So he used to go to library during evening time. He tried to escape like this for quite few months. One day... in library... suddenly someone called "Hello". Chagala came to know that some senior girl called but he acted as if he didnt hear. Then the senior girl called "Hey neli shirt, tatey dakuchhi (Hello blue shirt, calling you..)". Chagala went near the girl and told "Yes Maa'm" looking at her. Maa'm got angry and told "Hey toka, Muhan ku kana anauchhu kire? (Oh boy, Why r u staring at me?)". Chagala apologized. Maa'm told "Go and make 500 rounds of the college". Chagala was really afraid and about to cry. Then maa'm told "Arey thataa karuthili, Jaa (Hello, I was just joking. U can leave.)".

Ragging period was going on like this for few months. Chagala was very much eager to know the name of that senior girl. But whom to ask? If he asks a senior, he will definitely get slapped and if asks a classmate, then there is a chance that he/she may tell to the seniors. Chagala was in dilemma.

One day while talking to friends, one fellow told that some "Sundari(beautiful) maa'm" is there in senior batch. Sundari maa'm? Friend told "Once a senior guy told me to find who is Sundari maa'm. I didnt know what to do. I then asked to a girl of our class and came to know that her name is "Sharmila" ". Friends asked "Why is she called as Sundari maa'm?". That classmate replied "Many guys proposed her but she has not agreed to anyone.😊".

There was the time of Welcome function for juniors(Chagala's batch). Seniors(Sharmila's batch) arranged the program very well. Chagala is very good in modern dance. He performed a break-dance on the song 'Urbasi Urbasi take it easy Urbasi'. That was the 1st time when Chagala had a chat with Sharmila.
Sharmila was also a good dancer. Chagala came to know about this during the annual function of the college.

One year passed and now Chagala in 2nd year and Sharmila in 3rd year. During the annual function, Chagala wanted to have a dance performance with Sharmila but suppressed his emotions thinking how to tell this to a senior girl!

One day a senior guy was fully drunk and shouting. Chagala came to know that the senior fellow proposed Sharmila and she denied. Like this, many guys were there who registered their names in "Sundari ra eka tarapha premika talika (Sundari's one-sided lovers' list)".

One more year passed and now Chagala in 3rd year and Sharmila in 4th year of college. One day suddenly, Chagala gifted a rose to Sharmila and told "Mu tumaku bhala paye (I love you)". Sharmila somewhat got irritated and angry thinking that how come a junior guy can propose her! That day in Boys' hostel, Chagala's friends and seniors teased him like anything stating "The next fellow to register his name in Sundari's one-sided lovers' list is Chagala Chagala Chagala...". ðŸ˜Š

One more year passed and now Chagala is going to 4th year and Sharmila completed the Engineering degree. Juniors(Chagala's batch ) arranged a farewell party for the seniors(Sharmila's batch). After the party was over, Sharmila gave a card to Chagala in which it was written "Will wait for you!".

Sharmila and Chagala got married and having a happy life in one of the major IT-cities in southern states of India. ðŸ’‘

***This is a fiction and all the characters are fictitious. If there is any resemblance to anyone, it will be considered as a co-incidence.😊***
